NDIS cleaning price guide
You don't need a lecture on the NDIS. You need to know which support item cleaning sits under, where the current price limit is published, and how many hours your funding actually buys at the rate you've been quoted.
Budget the hours wrong and you run out of cleaning support months before your plan ends. Ten minutes here prevents that.
Why you won't see a dollar figure below. NDIS price limits change and vary by day, time and location. CleanScout publishes a price limit only when it has been transcribed from the current official document and dated. Where we haven't verified it, we link you straight to the source instead of guessing — and the calculator uses the rate from your own quote.

How far will my cleaning funding go?
Use the amount allocated in your plan and the hourly rate a provider has quoted you. We don't publish NDIS price limits we haven't verified — the rate comes from your own quote or service agreement.
25 hours · 13 visits · about monthly
That works out to roughly $29 a week. If a provider quotes a higher weekend or public-holiday rate, the same funding buys fewer hours — ask for the weekday and weekend rates separately before you sign a service agreement.

How your plan management changes what you can do
Self-managed
You manage the funding yourself, pay providers directly and keep records for the NDIA.
You can use registered or unregistered providers, which is the widest possible choice of cleaners.
Plan-managed
A plan manager pays your invoices and tracks your budget for you, funded separately in your plan.
You can generally use registered or unregistered providers, as long as they can invoice your plan manager correctly.
NDIA-managed (agency-managed)
The NDIA pays providers directly through the myplace portal.
You need to use a registered NDIS provider, which narrows the list of cleaners you can choose from.

Questions people ask
- Why doesn't this page just list the NDIS price for cleaning?
- Because a wrong number here could cost you real money. NDIS price limits change, and they differ by day, time and location. We only publish a figure once we've transcribed it from the current NDIA Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits document and recorded the date we checked it. Until then we link you to the official source and give you the arithmetic to use with your own quoted rate.
- Which support item does house cleaning come under?
- Cleaning is usually delivered under Assistance with Daily Life in your Core budget — most commonly the 'House Cleaning and Other Household Activities' support item. Your plan wording and your plan manager or support coordinator determine what you can actually claim against.
- Can I be charged more than the NDIS price limit?
- A registered provider delivering a price-limited support cannot charge above the limit. Arrangements can differ if you are self-managed and using an unregistered provider, so always get the rate in writing in a service agreement before work starts and check it with your plan manager.
- Does a higher hourly rate mean better cleaning?
- No. Rates vary with day, time, location loading and how a provider structures their business. What matters is whether the hours you're paying for actually cover the tasks you need, and whether the same worker attends consistently.
